Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
305 PM EDT Sun Jun 23 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Low level moisture will remain high across the area through
Monday, but not deep enough for widespread precipitation.
However, the airmass will begin to dry out on Tuesday
behind a frontal boundary that will push across the area on
Monday. There will continue to be an isolated to widely
scattered thunderstorm for the remainder of this afternoon
through Monday. Behind the front, the wind will shift to the
north or northeast Tuesday with slightly drier air.

Scattered convection possible late week as another front moves
into the area. However, the air mass will remain quite warm and
moist with above normal temperatures through the period.

Fog potential for tonight: Patchy fog possible.
