Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1259 AM EST Sat Nov 29 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Another afternoon with near critical RH values is expected
today, luckily with fairly light easterly winds, though a
couple gusts to 15 mph could be possible as the inversion
breaks late this morning. Moisture steadily increasing
ahead of a front Sunday where a couple light showers could be
possible, but the front has trended mostly dry. Winds pivot a bit
more westerly ahead of the front Sunday, remaining light, before
moving back toward the northeast on Monday with some gusts to 15-20
mph possible. Monday is expected to be mostly dry before widespread rain
moves in overnight, continuing much of Tuesday before drying out
during the evening Tuesday. Confidence in 1"+ rainfall amounts remains
high with this event. High pressure then likely brings back drier conditions
for the mid week and into part of the late week.

Fog potential tonight: Fog not expected tonight.
