Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
112 PM EDT Mon Sep 1 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Cool, dry high pressure will into the area through mid week with
notably lower dew points and humidity, and gusty northeast winds.
Winds will generally remain out of the northeast through Wednesday
morning, before they shift southeasterly. Moisture will then
steadily return through the end of the week with the highest rain
chances on Thursday as a front approaches the area. Breezy
southwesterly winds are likely Thursday onward as this front slows
northwest of our area.

Fog potential tonight: Some river fog possible but otherwise fog is
not expected.
