Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
153 AM EDT Sat Oct 18 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Dry high pressure will shift offshore today and bring some breezy
southwest winds for Saturday afternoon. A front will push through
the area on Sunday, bringing some widespread showers and gusty winds.
Rain totals however are expected to be limited given the fast
motions. Wind gusts over 30 mph are expected with this frontal
passage, out of the south-southwest, on Sunday. Winds will then
quickly turn out of the northwest by Sunday night and into Monday,
before weakening and becoming variable again by Tuesday.

Fog potential tonight: Possible, especially near rivers.
