Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
408 AM EDT Sat Jun 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...
High moisture across the area and weak to moderate instability
will lead to widely scattered/scattered mainly afternoon and
evening showers and thunderstorms over the weekend. A weak
cold front will move into or through the area late Monday with
perhaps an increase in convective coverage in the afternoon and
evening. A wind shift to the north or northeast expected behind
the front Tuesday with slightly drier air. Stronger convection
possible late week as another front moves into the area. However,
the air mass will remain quite warm and moist with above normal
temperatures through the period.

Fog potential for tonight: Patchy fog possible.
