Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1253 AM EST Mon Nov 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Critically low RH values are expected today in the post-frontal
environment. RH values this afternoon should fall into the 15 to
25 percent range and could be locally lower as a very dry air mass
will be in place. High pressure passes through the forecast area
today allowing winds to become light and variable. The overall
lack of wind will preclude the need for any fire weather products
today. On Tuesday, developing southerly flow will encourage
moisture and temperature advection, though Min RH values could
once again approach critical values in spots. Temperatures and
moisture advection continues through the week, though any rain
will likely hold off until this weekend.

Fog potential tonight: Fog not expected.
