Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
102 PM EST Wed Nov 12 2025

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure builds into the region on Thursday, remaining in
place until a dry cold front approaches on Saturday night or
Sunday. This will maintain dry conditions across the forecast area
through at least the weekend. Expect warmer temperatures and
lighter winds on Thursday, though winds will be shifting from the
west to the northwest during the morning hours. Min RH values
should fall into the 25 to 35 percent range for most locations in
the afternoon, though with northwesterly flow some spots could
briefly fall below that. Friday will see similar conditions. Moisture
increases a bit over the weekend ahead of the aforementioned cold
front but chances of precipitation hold off until early next week
when another storm system approaches.

Fog potential tonight: Fog not expected.
