Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
200 AM EDT Wed Sep 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure leading to light and variable winds today. A cold
front approaches the area Thursday leading to increasing
southwesterly winds, although deep moisture will be lacking and
rain is not expected as the front moves through early Friday
morning. Temperatures continue to warm into the weekend, becoming
above average Saturday before another cold front moves into the
area. This front will lead to higher chances for rain showers late
this weekend into early next week.

Fog potential tonight: Fog not expected.
