Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
123 AM EDT Fri Oct 10 2025

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure centered over the northeastern US with a surface
low developing off the coast of South Carolina this weekend. This
will lead to breezy northeasterly winds continuing through the
weekend, shifting a bit more northerly Sunday. Rain chances have
increased for the eastern portion of the forecast area with
moisture expected to move farther inland Friday and Saturday. As
the surface low pushes northeast of the area, rain chances will
decrease Sunday with rain not expected next week as high pressure
ridging strengthens over the area.

Fog potential tonight: Fog is not expected.
