.DISCUSSION...
Winds turning east-northeast today will be a downslope drying wind
in Northern Maine especially closer to New Brunswick. Afternoon
RHs in northern areas ranging from 38-45 percent. Elsewhere,
increased RHs in the afternoon mainly 45-60 percent range. East-
northeast winds today 5-10mph north but 10-15mph south with a few
gusts up to 20mph along the shore.
Tonight, expect very good recovery once again with RHs nearing
100 percent. Isolated to scattered showers will begin pushing
closer to the Hancock County coast overnight but any precip mainly
remains confined to far SW zones. Another frosty night across
northern Maine where skies remain clear.
On Monday high pressure will keep areas north of Moosehead to
Baxter SP drier with afternoon RHs down to 30-40 percent.
While southern areas bottom out in the 50-60 percent range. E
winds 5-10mph north with 10-15mph south and some gusts along the
coast to 20mph. For Monday to Wednesday some rain is expected but
mainly confined to Downeast shoreline and just showers elsewhere.
The probability of a wetting rain (>0.25) has decreased to 30-45
percent for the Downeast to Central Highlands, and very unlikely
in northern areas.
