...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS...

  Coastal Waters from Schoodic Point, ME to Stonington, ME out 25
  NM...
  Intra Coastal Waters from Schoodic Point, ME to Stonington, ME...

At 324 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and excessive
lightning. This thunderstorm was located near Stonington, or 17 nm
southeast of Camden, moving southeast at 15 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
forecast office.
