...PATCHY DENSE FOG POSSIBLE THIS MORNING...

Web cams along the lower southeast South Carolina coast and the
southeast Georgia coast indicate that patchy dense fog is likely
impacting portions of the Atlantic coastal waters. Visibilities
could be reduced to a quarter of a mile or less at times, causing
hazardous navigation conditions. Also, the Savannah Pilots
Association dispatch reported that dense fog is impacting the
Savannah River and the Port of Savannah is closed to traffic.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners are urged to navigate with extreme care. If you must
navigate in these conditions, proceed with caution. Use proper
fog signals, including fog horns. Make sure all navigational
running lights are on.

Please relay any reports of sea fog to the Charleston or Tybee
Island Coast Guard stations and ask them to immediately forward
your report to the National Weather Service in Charleston.
