.WHAT HAS CHANGED...
The forecast remains on track. No major changes were needed
with this update.
.KEY MESSAGES...
1) Quiet, dry, and seasonable weather expected through mid to late
next week.
.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGE 1...
High pressure will continue to dominate our weather pattern
through the weekend and much of next week. A dry cold front will
swing south across the forecast area tonight leading to
slightly cooler high temperatures on Saturday in the mid 60s.
Otherwise, expect for seasonal temperatures with highs in the
mid 70s and dry conditions through mid week.
The broad level low turns southerly to southwesterly by the middle
of the week allowing for temperatures to rise into the 80s Thursday
into the weekend. Rain chances will also increase near the end of
the week as low pressure enters the Great Lakes region.

.AVIATION /00Z Saturday THROUGH Wednesday/...
VFR and dry weather are expected through 00Z/Sun. At the
surface, a high pressure ridge continues to exit generally
S`ward before a cold front starved of moisture within the lowest
several thousand feet AGL sweeps S`ward through our region
between ~04Z/Sat and ~08Z/Sat. Behind the front, another ridge
builds from the Hudson Bay area through 00Z/Sun. Ahead of the
cold front, our regional surface winds trend variable in
direction and around 5 to 10 knots. Behind the front, N`erly to
NE`erly winds around 10 to 15 knots, gusting up to 20 knots or
so at times, are expected.
Outlook...Dry weather and VFR are likely through this Wednesday.
&&
.MARINE...
Southwest flow will continue through this afternoon with winds
up to 20 kts. Winds will shift tonight with a cold front and
north to northeast winds will develop over the lake with 15 to
25 kts of flow. This will allow for waves to build to 4 to 5 ft
and allow for the Small Craft Advisory and Beach Hazards
Statement to continue through Saturday afternoon. With high
pressure centered over the lake, winds will decrease and become
easterly Saturday night and northerly for Sunday through
Wednesday.
