.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGE 1...
The overall pattern favors a relatively quiet and dry period of
weather through mid-next week as an Omega block develops across
the CONUS. For the most part, our area will generally be
located on the western periphery of the upper-level trough. High
temperatures will mainly range between 70 and 80, with slightly
cooler overnight temperatures in the 40s possible tonight, and
again on Saturday night into Sunday morning as a cold front
moves south across the area. Elevated north to northeast wind
gusts up to 25 mph are possible behind the front Saturday
afternoon.

With high pressure building south across the Great Lakes today
and slightly elevated dew points in place, can`t rule out some
patchy radiation fog across the interior, generally along and
east of I-71 tonight into early Friday morning.

&&

.AVIATION /18Z Thursday THROUGH Tuesday/...
VFR is expected through the TAF cycle as high pressure remains
in control. Only occasional cirrus is expected. N to NE winds
will gust to 15-25 knots at times this afternoon, becoming light
tonight and Friday morning.

Outlook...VFR is expected through Tuesday.

&&

.MARINE...
Mostly quiet marine conditions will continue on Lake Erie
through early next week, although probabilities are increasing
for Small Craft Advisories and Beach Hazard Statements Friday
night and Saturday as NE winds approach or exceed 20 knots in
the wake of a backdoor cold front, building waves to 2-4 feet
and elevating the risk for rip currents. Otherwise, NE winds
will slowly decrease this evening and tonight, becoming SW at
10-15 knots ahead of the cold front Friday. Light winds are
expected Sunday and Monday before N winds potentially increase
again Tuesday.
