...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Ohio, including
  the following counties, in north central Ohio, Ashland, Knox,
  Morrow and Richland. In northeast Ohio, Holmes.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain
  closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise or remain
  elevated due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1001 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms last evening and
    this evening. Flooding is already occurring in the warned
    area. Between 2.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen since
    yesterday evening.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but any additional rainfall
    amounts will be light.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mansfield, Mount Gilead, Ontario, Lexington, Crestline,
    Loudonville, Fredericktown, Cardington, Bellville,
    Hayesville, Glenmont, Nashville, Waterford, Butler,
    Perrysville, Lucas, Jeromesville, Edison, Mifflin and Gann.
  - Flooding is ongoing for several area rivers and creeks.
    Flooding has been reported on the Black Fork of the Mohican
    River near Loudonville and near Charles Mill Lake.

  - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety
    and preparedness information.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
