...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow occurring. Additional snow
  accumulations of 3 to 5 inches with locally higher amounts
  possible where bands of snow persist. The highest snowfall
  totals will likely occur in the higher terrain of eastern
  Cuyahoga County, Geauga County, and inland Ashtabula County.
  Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula Inland counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected within lake effect
  snow bands and will make travel treacherous and potentially
  life-threatening. The hazardous conditions will impact the
  Thanksgiving holiday travel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall will continue to gradually focus
  farther inland early this morning. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2
  inches per hour will occur within snow bands through early this
  morning, especially across southeastern Cuyahoga County and
  southern Geauga County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

The Ohio Department of Transportation and Ohio Turnpike and
Infrastructure Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed
all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel. Visit

* WHERE...Southern Erie and Crawford counties.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected within lake effect
  snow bands and will make travel treacherous and potentially
  life- threatening. The hazardous conditions will impact the
  Thanksgiving holiday travel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow bands will continue to
  occur over southern Erie County and northern and central
  Crawford County today. Peak snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per
  hour within snow bands are expected early this morning.
