Updated at 614 PM CDT Mon Sep 1 2025 - Low to medium chance of showers and thunderstorms continuing into Tuesday. - WPC has a Marginal Risk of Excessive Rainfall across South TX through tonight. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1223 PM CDT Mon Sep 1 2025 Shower and thunderstorm chances will will gradually diminish tonight (20-50% chance) through Tuesday (15-40% chance) as a boundary sags across the area and drier air filters in from the north. Temperatures will creep back up into the low to mid 90s along the coast to the low 100s across the Brush Country. While it is September and we are all looking forward to Fall, it isn`t quite here yet. Remember to practice heat safety. Guidance continues to hint at another disturbance moving across the area this weekend, reintroducing rain chances back into the forecast. It is still a little early to get excited, but there is hope for at least a bit more rain coming up. We will have to keep watch on this. && .AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Issued at 614 PM CDT Mon Sep 1 2025 Showers and thunderstorms are ongoing over portions of South Texas this evening, but convection should begin to wane during the next few hours with the loss of daytime heating. Winds will also wane overnight, becoming light and variable. Another round of showers and storms is set to develop as early as 06Z Tuesday as a stationary boundary continues to be draped across the area. Coverage of shower and thunderstorm activity will be uncertain as the precipitation will be scattered in nature. For now, chances are covered by PROB30 groups for -TSRA for all sites except VCT, Chances will decrease from north to south throughout the day Tuesday as the boundary sags southward, with chances diminishing around 21Z or so. Overall, VFR conditions can be expected with gusty winds and MVFR to IFR conditions in and around any showers and thunderstorms. Winds will generally be from the north- northeast through Tuesday afternoon with speeds of 5-10 knots. && .MARINE... Issued at 1223 PM CDT Mon Sep 1 2025 Gentle to moderate (BF 3-4) north-northeast winds will develop tonight and continue through Wednesday afternoon. A medium (40-60%) chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue this evening through Tuesday before chances diminish through Tuesday night. Winds will return to onshore flow late Wednesday/early Thursday. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
