- Dry the rest of the week.

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1212 PM CDT Mon Jul 14 2025

A generally dry and seasonally warm pattern is expected across
South Texas through much of this week. Some deeper moisture and
mid-level vorticity will linger near the Rio Grande through
Tuesday, supporting low-end rain chances (~20-30%) for western
portions of the Brush Country and Rio Grande Plains. Elsewhere,
drier air associated with ridging over the Gulf will limit rain
potential for the CWA through the weekend. Isolated seabreeze
driven showers may still pop up each afternoon, but coverage will
be extremely limited.

Temperatures will trend near to slightly above seasonal, with
highs ranging from the low 90s along the coast to upper 90s
inland. Low 100s will reach the Rio Grande Plains by midweek.
Overnight lows will generally remain in the upper 70s to low 80s
early this week, before dropping a few degrees in response to the
drier air filtering in.

.AVIATION...
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 1212 PM CDT Mon Jul 14 2025

VFR conditions will persist across South Texas through early
tomorrow morning, at which time we expect yet another round of
MVFR CIGs across all sites with brief periods of IFR across KALI
and KCRP. Conditions will improve back to VFR by mid tomorrow
morning. Low chances of rain remain in the forecast this afternoon
(<30%) across the Victoria Crossroads, northern Coastal Plains,
and northern Brush Country. With confidence on the lower side,
we will continue to monitor conditions and issue amendments as
needed, particularly for KVCT, KCOT, and KLRD. Precipitation
chances diminish this evening as we lose daytime heating.
Southeasterly winds this afternoon will gust up to 20-25 knots
before decreasing during the overnight hours.

.MARINE...
Issued at 1212 PM CDT Mon Jul 14 2025

Mainly gentle to moderate (BF 3-4) southeasterly winds with gusts
to fresh (BF 5) levels will persist over the waters through much
of the upcoming week. Rain chances are minimal through the period.
