...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM CDT...

For the following areas...
Waters from Port Aransas to Matagorda Ship Channel from 20 to 60
NM...

At 121 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near East Breaks
228, moving southeast at 30 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
         waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Make sure
         all on board are wearing life jackets.

The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
