...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FRIDAY...

* AFFECTED AREA: Coastal Plains and Brush Country

* TIMING: Friday from Noon until 7 PM

* WIND: Variable from 5-10 MPH

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY: Ranging between 10-20% inland and 20-30%
  along the Coastal Bend

* FUEL DRYNESS: Critically dry fuels with Energy Release Component
  values in the 90-96th percentile

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Affected residents are urged to exercise care with respect to all
outdoor activities that could inadvertently cause wildfires.

Avoid the use of welding or grinding equipment near grass and dry
brush. In addition, avoid parking vehicles in tall, dry grass and
weeds that could be ignited.

Do not toss cigarette butts on the ground. Report wildfires
quickly to the nearest fire department or law enforcement office.
