Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College, PA
320 AM EDT Tue Jun 25 2024

.DISCUSSION...
A ridge of high pressure at the surface and aloft will slide
east across Pennsylvania this morning, bringing clear skies
and light wind.

Sunshine mixing with mid and high clouds this afternoon will
accompany warmer conditions today and winds will be relatively
light.

The high will move off the Mid Atlantic Coast later today,
and moisture will return quickly tonight on a strengthening low
level Southwesterly flow.

Some showers and possible thunderstorms will move over the
Western half of the state by daybreak Wednesday. The chance
for showers and thunderstorms increases throughout Wednesday
afternoon as a cold front and preceding nose of strong low
to mid level, west to southwesterly winds moves across the
Commonwealth.

Seasonably warm and dry weather with abundant sunshine and
comfortable humidity will follow for Thursday.
