Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College, PA
422 AM EDT Sun Jun 15 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Widespread low clouds, a light easterly breeze and cool
temperatures will blanket the Commonwealth once again today
with scattered showers drifting to the east-northeast across
the region as weak surface low pressure and an upper level
disturbance moves east from the Middle Ohio River Valley.

A few afternoon thunderstorms are also possible today across
the Laurel Highlands and Southwestern Corner of the state.
The storms have the potential to produce 1 t 1.5 inches of
rain in less than one hour. Elsewhere, rainfall amounts
through this evening will average less than one quarter of
an inch in most places.

Mainly cloudy and cool conditions with high humidity will
persist right through Tuesday night with a few showers from
time to time.
