.DISCUSSION...
A very warm afternoon for late October with plenty of sunshine
and high temperatures 10 to 20 degrees above the historical
average in the low 60s to low 70s. A cold front will move
southeastward across central PA later tonight into Friday morning
bringing a few light rain showers downwind of Lake Erie.
Breezy conditions are expected behind the cold front on Friday
with northwest winds gusting 20 to 30 mph. The combination of
marginally low humidity, decreasing fine fuel moisture, and gusty
winds could lead to an elevated risk of rapid wildfire spread
Friday afternoon. Dry and tranquil weather will to continue
through Halloween weekend into early November with no appreciable
wetting rain in sight until the second half of next week.
