Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College, PA
452 AM EDT Wed Jun 25 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Another very hot day is expected east of the Allegheny Front with
high temperatures in the low to mid 90s, while areas to the west
will be a few degrees cooler than recent days as a cold front
moves in from the north. Cloud cover will increase as the front
moves in and scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop in
the afternoon. Some of the storms may be strong to severe and will
be capable of producing strong wind gusts and locally heavy
rainfall.

The front stalls over Central Pennsylvania on Thursday and will
provide another day with scattered thunderstorms. Locally heavy
rainfall will be the main concern, though a few strong wind gusts
will be possible over south-central PA.
