09/01/2026 Potter PA NWS Storm Survey
An NWS Storm Survey team confirmed an EF1
Tornado in Pike Township in Potter County
and Gaines Township in Tioga County. The
tornado path length was 6.50 miles, had a
maximum width of 150 yards, and was on the
ground for 15 minutes. Maximum winds were
estimated to be 110 mph. The survey team
noted numerous uprooted and snapped trees
across the tornado path with considerable
tree damage along Phoenix Road and Hanky
Panky Road.
