The temperatures will be getting colder at the same time. Expect the rain to turn to snow north of I-80 early tonight. There will be light accumulation of snow there. Rain will mix with snow from around I-80 down to about 50 miles to the south of the interstate. A thin coating of snow is possible on the higher hill tops of the central mountains and Poconos. The precipitation should stay all rain for the southern third of the state. The precipitation will exit to the east late tonight. Expect clouds to linger across southern PA through the day Wednesday even as high pressure builds in. Expect a fair but mostly cloudy day on Thursday. Low temperatures early Wednesday will be in the mid to upper 20s over the Northern Tier counties and close to 40 degrees in the far southern towns. Highs Wednesday will be a little warmer than Tuesday, especially in the west. High temperatures will be in the 40s for all of the Commonwealth. Thursday may be a few degrees milder across the south, but the north will stay close to Wednesday`s highs. $$
