Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
525 AM EDT Thu Aug 13 2026

A few showers and maybe a brief thunderstorm will occur across
primarily southern Pennsylvania this morning, while areas of
morning clouds elsewhere yield to increasing amounts of sunshine
as we progress through the day.

High temperatures today will range from the upper 70s across the
mountains of Northern and Western PA, to the mid and upper 80s
across the southeast. Lows tonight under a fair amount of mid and
high level clouds will be in the 50s across the far north and
mid to upper 60s across the southeast.

A mid and upper level disturbance, resulting from an area of
thunderstorms across the midwest this afternoon and evening, will
move quickly east an spread into the Commonwealth late tonight
into Friday, accompanied by some showers and maybe a thunderstorm
across mainly the southwestern third of the state.

A welcome change to lower humidity with plenty of sunshine will
lick off the weekend as high pressure builds east into the area.
