National Weather Service State College PA
948 PM EDT Wed Sep 3 2025

Clouds will be increasing overnight, especially over the west, as
a cold front nears and brings showers and storms to the area. A
couple of showers are possible early tonight in the west, but the
more widespread showers and thunderstorms will wait until closer
to daybreak. The rain will move eastward across the Commonwealth,
with thunderstorms possible in eastern Pennsylvania by late
afternoon. Some storms could produce gusty or even damaging winds
during the afternoon and evening hours.

Low temperatures tonight will range from the lower 50s across the
higher elevations to the lower 60s in the Pittsburgh and
Philadelphia metro areas. High temperatures on Thursday will range
from only the mid 60s across the northwest to the lower to mid
80s across southeastern Pennsylvania.

The showers and thunderstorms will taper off around midnight
Thursday night. But, isolated showers will linger into Friday.

Another storm system will arrive Friday night in the west and
push across the state on Saturday and Saturday night.
