Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
534 AM EDT Wed Aug 19 2026

Showers and a few thunderstorms will move into northwestern PA
along a weak cold front this morning. The showers will tend to
weaken and break up as they move farther south and east across
Pennsylvania into the afternoon, with much of the southeastern
half of the Commonwealth likely to remain dry. High temperatures
will range from the mid 70s to mid 80s.

A more widespread batch of showers and a few thunderstorms is
expected across the region later Wednesday night into Thursday.
A few strong to severe storms will be possible Thursday afternoon
across far southeastern Pennsylvania, with damaging winds being
the primary hazard. Showers and storms will also be capable of
producing very heavy rainfall which could result in isolated
instances of flash flooding. Drier weather is expected for much of
Pennsylvania on Friday, although showers may linger across the
southern tier. The pattern remains unsettled as we head into the
weekend, with chances for showers and thunderstorms both Saturday
and Sunday.
