Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
431 PM EST Wed Nov 12 2025

Nearly stationary high pressure over the Mississippi Valley will
keep our wind out of the west and keep it gusty for the next
couple of days. Lake effect rain and snow showers will continue
into the evening, primarily along and north of I-80. Clearing is
expected over the southwest and southeast. It will be mostly
cloudy for the mountains and northwest through most of the night.
The best places in PA to see the Aurora tonight will be across the
southern third of the state.

Lake effect showers taper off on Thursday as high pressure slowly
builds in. Temperatures will gradually moderate through the
weekend, trending above average on Saturday and Sunday. Another
weather system will bring rain and perhaps some thunderstorms on
Saturday before a cold front ushers in a stretch of cooler weather
with renewed lake effect showers early next week.
