Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
535 PM EDT Wed Jul 16 2025

Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected across
the Commonwealth this evening and on Thursday, mainly during the
afternoon and evening. Locally heavy rain may lead to rainfall
amounts of several inches, which could result in flash flooding in
areas that receive multiple rounds of thunderstorms. Storms this
evening and Thursday afternoon/evening will bring some potential
for isolated strong wind gusts.

Low temperatures tonight will range from the upper 60s across
northwestern Pennsylvania to the mid-70s near Philadelphia and
along Lake Erie. High temperatures on Thursday will range from the
lower 80s across the higher elevations of central Pennsylvania to
the upper 90s across the southeastern Pennsylvania.

Daily chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms will
persist at least into the weekend. The least likely period of time
for showers and storms will be Friday into the day light hours on
Saturday, before the chances of rain ramp back up late Saturday
into Sunday.
