Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
501 PM EDT Thu Aug 28 2025

A cold front pushing southeast across Lake Erie late early this
evening was accompanied by a few bands of showers and isolated
thunderstorms.

This airmass boundary will push across the Commonwealth tonight
and bring a chance for showers and even a thunderstorm or two,
primarily across northern Pennsylvania through early tonight with
up to a few tenths of an inch of rainfall. In contrast, most
places south and east of State College should remain dry.

We will continue to get an early taste of fall weather over the
next several days with cool mornings and pleasant afternoons.

A Canadian high pressure system will move in for Labor Day
weekend, keeping it dry and ensuring the continuation of
temperatures in the 60s and 70s during the day and upper 30s to
low 50s for overnight lows.
