Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
603 PM EDT Wed Aug 19 2026

A small line of brief, heavy showers in central Pennsylvania will
continue to weaken and ultimately dissipate later this evening as
it moves southeast, giving way to a lull in the action before
an area of more widespread rainfall arrives across the western
half of Pennsylvania by early Thursday morning. Low temperatures
tonight will range from the mid 50s in the northern tier to near
70 degrees in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Steady rain will continue to overspread central and eastern
Pennsylvania through the afternoon and early evening on
Thursday. A few strong to severe afternoon storms will be
possible across southeastern Pennsylvania, with damaging winds
being the primary hazard. Heavy rainfall could result in isolated
flash flooding. High temperatures will mostly by in the 70s.

Drier weather is expected for much of Pennsylvania on Friday,
although showers may linger across the southern tier. The pattern
turns more unsettled as we head into the weekend, with chances
for showers and thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday.
