High pressure from the western Great Lakes will build eastward
into eastern New York state by Tuesday morning. This system will
bring a northwesterly flow of much cooler and drier air to the
Keystone state today. As the high pressure system moves eastward
on Tuesday, a fast west to east upper level jet will bring a cold
front southward across the lower Great Lakes region late Wednesday
into the end of the week. While the northern portion of the
Keystone state could be wet at times, much of the area could
remain dry early on in the period, as an abnormally strong upper
level high remains just to the south of Pennsylvania.

Plenty of sunshine later today and on Tuesday will make for a
nice late summer conditions. Highs today will range from the mid
to upper 60s across the mountains, to the mid 70s across the far
southeast.

Clear skies and light winds tonight will make for a cool night,
with lows in the 40s. There will be a wide range in temperatures
Tuesday afternoon across Pennsylvania, ranging from the upper 60s
across the northeast to the lower 80s across the southwest.
