Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
545 AM EDT Sat Jun 21 2025

Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected today, as southwest
winds usher in warmer temperatures and increasing humidity with
highs generally in the 80s. Although most locations will stay dry
today, a few strong to possibly severe thunderstorms are possible
this afternoon, particularly in northeast PA. Damaging winds will
be the primary threat.

A significant summer heat wave is expected to begin on Sunday and
last through early next week. Widespread major to extreme heat
risk is forecast, indicating an intensity and duration of heat
that is dangerous to anyone without adequate cooling or hydration.
Maximum heat index values are forecast to climb into the 100-110
degrees range in the lower terrain to the west and east of the
Allegheny Mountains on Monday and Tuesday. Heat Advisories and
Extreme Heat Warnings are in effect for all of Pennsylvania.
