* Until 830 PM EDT.
* At 742 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
near Portage to over New Centerville, or along a line from near
Portage to 6 miles southwest of Somerset, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Johnstown, Somerset, Westmont, Windber, Ebensburg, Bedford,
Belmont, Nanty-Glo, Portage, Breezewood, Warfordsburg, Roaring
Spring, Geistown, Southmont, Berlin, Clearville, New Enterprise,
Martinsburg and Everett.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 between mile markers 147 and 170. The Pennsylvania
Turnpike between mile markers 101 and 185. Interstate 99 between mile
markers 0 and 26.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms have produced widespread
damaging winds.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or
lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover.
Seek shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.
