.SHORT TERM /THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT/...
Issued at 1241 PM MST Thu Nov 5 2026

The clouds have cleared out for a rather sunny afternoon for the
Southeast Wyoming and Western Nebraska Panhandle area. Temperature
remained about normal for the forecast area with temperatures in the
mid 50`s for the lower elevations and the mid 40`s for the higher
elevations. The clouds will start to push back in this evening and
into the overnight period ahead of a weak shortwave pushing through
the Intermountain West. For the most part their may be a light
drizzle for the mountain peaks tomorrow afternoon, but the rest of
the forecast area is expected to remain dry. By Friday, afternoon we
should start to see the cloud cover start to break up and the sun
start to poke through. However, the high temperatures tomorrow
should be relatively the same as today plus or minus a couple
degrees. However, Friday night will be a little colder as clear
skies are expected overnight. Overnight temperatures may drop a
little colder than forecasted especially in our colder areas like
Alliance, Douglas, and Laramie who seem to radiationally cool faster
and more efficiently that the rest of the region. Those areas may
experience overnight temperatures into the low 20`s depending on
when the skies clear over those areas.

.LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
Issued at 130 PM MST Wed Nov 4 2026

No major changes in the long term, except for taking out Friday
and starting the long term discussion on Saturday, please see
previous discussion below...

Saturday...Will see a slow warming trend though tempered by
northerly flow aloft. Low and mid levels look too dry for any
precipitation.

Sunday...The warming trend continues as the ridge aloft builds
across our counties, helping to produce a surface lee trough across
eastern Wyoming. 700 mb temperatures near 7 Celsius will yield
maximum temperatures from the mid 50s to mid 60s.

Monday-Wednesday...Dry west northwest flow aloft prevails with a few
shortwave troughs aloft passing by, though with minimal low and mid
level moisture, no precipitation expected. High temperatures nearly
the same each day based on 700 mb temperatures.

.AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z FRIDAY/...
Issued at 916 AM MST Thu Nov 5 2026

Ridging aloft will prevail early in the period, before a trough
aloft moves into western Wyoming Friday morning, spreading some
high level clouds across the terminals.

High confidence in VFR continuing with periods of scattered high
clouds tonight and Friday morning. Winds will be under 10 knots
due to weak surface pressure gradients.
