.DISCUSSION...
A short wave is expected to initiate scattered thunderstorms this afternoon.
There is a pop-up shower directly overhead the Sawmill fire, erratic wind gusts
underneath these showers as well as locally heavy rainfall. The mid to upper
level shear is really below severe threshold so the greatest threat appears to
be the localized heavy rainfall and potential wind gusts between 55 to 65mph.
The Min RH for the sawmill area is expected to fall between 25 and 35 percent
over the next few days with overnight recoveries around 70 percent. Also with
the weak shear aloft, transport winds will be marginal during the day and poor
overnight, as the nocturnal inversion sets up to limit smoke dispersal as well.
Tomorrow and through the weekend the central pressure of the Upper level ridge
will meander westward temporarily decreasing the CWR to less than 10 percent
after Thursday afternoon.
