.DISCUSSION...

This weekend will be interesting to say the least. Saturday night into
Sunday morning a low pressure system is forecasted to move right through
the Rocky Mountains to give us precipitation chances through Tuesday
morning. The precipitation amounts are a little uncertain because the
models are changing their minds daily on how cold or warm the air aloft
is going to be to determine how much rain or snow is actually going to
fall. If the transition from rain to snow is slow then the snow
accumulation forecasted will be a lot smaller. Amounts for rain could
vary from 1.0 to 2.0 spread over those 48-60 hours. But if transitions
over to snow quickly Med Bow forest could see 4-10 inches of snow.
Temperatures could also drop as much as 10 degrees below current forecast
if a snow pack develops and 5 degreees in rain showers.
