Much better moisture in the area today with east to southeast winds expected around 5 to 15 MPH. Scattered to numerous showers and storms are expected this afternoon through the evening. The most likely timing near the burn area is between 5PM and 10PM. Storms may bring gusty and erratic winds, frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall. There is a 50 percent chance of wetting rains. A low-level jet will develop tonight, with southerly winds generally 15 to 25 MPH. Occasional gusts up to 45 MPH will be possible, but RH recoveries should be good. Not as windy Thursday, with another round of showers and storms expected, mainly after 3PM. .TODAY...
