.DISCUSSION...

Much better moisture in the area today with east to southeast winds
expected around 5 to 15 MPH. Scattered to numerous showers and storms
are expected this afternoon through the evening. The most likely timing
near the burn area is between 5PM and 10PM. Storms may bring gusty and
erratic winds, frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall. There is
a 50 percent chance of wetting rains. A low-level jet will develop
tonight, with southerly winds generally 15 to 25 MPH. Occasional gusts
up to 45 MPH will be possible, but RH recoveries should be good. Not
as windy Thursday, with another round of showers and storms expected,
mainly after 3PM.

Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (35-45 percent). Chance of showers
                    and thunderstorms late in the afternoon.
CWR.................6 percent.
LAL.................1 until 1500, then 4.
Max temperature.....83 to 85 degrees.
Min humidity........35 to 40 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........East winds 5 to 10 mph shifting to the
                    southeast 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Gusty
                    and erratic winds expected near thunderstorms.
Mixing height.......7300 ft AGL.
Transport winds.....East 13 to 16 mph shifting to the southeast 13
                    to 18 mph in the afternoon.
Smoke dispersal.....Poor (7500 knot-ft) early in the morning
                    increasing to good (94400 knot-ft) in the
                    afternoon increasing to very good (117100
                    knot-ft) late in the afternoon.
Haines Index........3 or very low potential for large plume
                    dominated fire growth.
