.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 222 AM CDT Thu Jun 19 2025

A high plains lee trough will continue today across the plains
of Colorado. The net result is a hot and breezy day. This hot
and dry weather pattern will continue for the end of the
business week and into the weekend. There are some 15% pops
today across the far western counties, just in case convective
temperature is reached and an isolated storm develops out west.
Given how hot and dry and mixed the atmosphere should be later
today, I suppose a strong wind gust cannot be ruled out. Either
way, the rest of the FA will stay dry and hot for the next
several days. Highs over the next few days will be well into the
90s, with some 100F readings possible. Lows will be warm with
values only bottoming out mainly in the 70s. The upper level
ridge may move east by the beginning of the next business week.
This will lead to the possibility of returning storm chances
Monday onward. With a frontal boundary lingering somewhere
across the region, this could provide the lift for storms.
Otherwise, there really isn`t much to talk about with warm to
seasonably hot temperatures continuing for the rest of the
forecast period.
