.DISCUSSION...
Latest satellite and surface observations indicate central KS is
currently entrenched within nearly zonal flow aloft, with surface
high pressure spread out from the central plains through the
northern plains. Over the next 24-36 hours, short range guidance
suggests no appreciable change in the synoptic pattern over the
central CONUS, resulting in largely static conditions for our
area. Winds will be in the 5-10 mph range generally out of the
north to northeast through tomorrow evening, followed by a shift
to the southeast by Thursday morning again in the 5-10 mph range.
With the sun setting and temperatures decreasing, relative
humidity will increase to near 100% by Wednesday morning. Daytime
Wednesday, temperatures will warm into the mid-60s by mid-
afternoon, allowing relative humidity to drop into the 30-40%
range.
