Solar Activity

.24 hr Summary...
Solar activity continued at low levels with two C-class flares: a C1.1
flare at 25/0244 UTC from Region 4536 (N03W53, Dac/beta-delta) and a
C1.2 at 25/0816 UTC beyond the west limb. Eight numbered sunspot regions
are present on the visible disk. Region 4536 was the only one to exhibit
growth and new flux emergence. All other regions were stable or in a
state of decay.

No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

.Forecast...
Solar activity is likely to continue at low levels with isolated to
occasional C-class flare activity, along with a slight chance for R1-R2
(Minor-Moderate) M-class flare events, through 27 Sep.

Energetic Particle

.24 hr Summary...
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained steady at background
levels.

.Forecast...
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach above 1,000
pfu in geosynchronous orbit (high levels) beginning on 25-27 Sep. The
greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background
levels through 27 Sep.

Solar Wind

.24 hr Summary...
Solar wind parameters reflected CH HSS influences. Total magnetic field
strength (Bt) ranged between 07 and 11 nT. The North-South (Bz)
component was variable but largely in a southward/negative orientation,
with maximum deflections of -8 nT at 24/1410 UTC and again at 25/0749
UTC. Solar wind speeds gradually increased, rising from early values
near 375 km/s to 450 km/s by the end of the period, with a max of 471
km/s at 25/0815 UTC. The phi angle was predominantly positive (away from
the Sun) sector.

.Forecast...
Slightly enhanced conditions are expected to persist into 26 Sep before
beginning to slowly wane through 27 Sep.

Geospace

.24 hr Summary...
The geomagnetic field was at largely unsettled to active levels, with an
isolated quiet period.

.Forecast...
The geomagnetic field is expected to reach active levels through 26 Sep,
before decreasing to largely unsettled levels on 27 Sep.
