...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, in east central Minnesota, Aitkin County. In
  northeast Minnesota, Central St. Louis, Cook and northern Lake
  Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band,
  Lake Vermilion area, the Grand Portage Reservation and the Mille
  Lacs Band, East Lake and, Big Sandy Lake areas.This also includes
  the Boundary Waters eastern and central area.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A stationary front will bring heavy rainfall which may lead
    to rapid runoff and flash flooding this afternoon through
    Tuesday night. Heavy rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
    expected with localized amounts up to 4 inches possible.
  - Flood safety information can be found at
    www.weather.gov/safety/flood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Pine, Southern Lake, Carlton and southern
  St. Louis Counties and Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett,
  Douglas, Iron, Sawyer and Washburn Counties. This includes the
  Tribal Lands of the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the Red Cliff
  Band, the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Bad
  River Reservation, the Fond du Lac Band, the St. Croix Band in
  Burnett County and the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley and, Lena Lake
  areas. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National
  Lakeshore and Madeline Island.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.
