Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ely, Lake Vermilion, Mountain Iron, Cook, Tower, Meadow Brook, Gheen, Soudan Underground Mine State Park, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Near Trout Lake, Bear Head Lake State Park, Robinson, Burntside Lake, Pelican Lake, McCarthy Beach State Park, Birch Lake, White Iron Lake, Fall Lake, western Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Perch Lake. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood.
