.DISCUSSION...

High pressure will keep skies mostly clear through today with
northwest winds increasing to 5 to 8 mph this afternoon with peak
gusts to around 13 mph. Due to the full exposure and sandy soils
of pine barrens, min RH is expected to lower to the mid 20% range
this afternoon by 1600. While the forecast shows a min RH of 26%
this afternoon, there is a 3 in 10 chance that critically dry min
RH of 25% or less occurs in the burn unit today.

Expect cloud cover to increase tonight with moderately favorable
RH recovery to 86%. Showers and thunderstorms arrive tomorrow
along a warm front, with the potential for an isolated strong to
severe thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Primary hazards
include large hail to 1" in diameter as well as gusty and erratic
winds. Wetting rains are likely, with total rainfall by Friday
morning being around 0.3".
