.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns are minimal due to widespread existing snow
cover and active winter weather patterns. Two clipper systems will
impact the Northland through midweek. The first arrives Monday,
bringing accumulating snow (heaviest in the Arrowhead) and breezy
southwest winds gusting 20 to 30 mph. A second, stronger system
arrives Tuesday afternoon, bringing widespread snow and difficult
travel conditions through Wednesday morning. Winds will shift to the
northwest and remain gusty on Wednesday, ushering in a much colder
arctic airmass for the late week. Minimum relative humidity values
will remain high (generally above 60%) throughout the period.
