LAKE AND NEAR THE TWIN PORTS AND TO THE SOUTHWESTERN ARM OF LAKE
SUPERIOR...

At 628 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front out ahead of a
line of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around
30 knots. This gust front was located along a line extending from 23
nm northwest of Duluth Lift Bridge Channel to 27 nm southwest of
Duluth Harbor, moving east at 35 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

This gust front will likely produce winds to around 30 knots, and
could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A Special Marine Warning
may eventually be required when this gust front reaches the
nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore before
this gust front arrives.
