* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Cass County in north central Minnesota...

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 743 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles northeast
  of Verndale, or 35 miles west of Brainerd, moving southeast at 20
  mph.

  HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  southwestern Cass County, including the following locations...
  Sylvan, Casino, Esterdy, East Gull Lake, Crow Wing State Park, and
  Lake Shore.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado, go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
