  South Skunk River near Ames W Riverside Rd affecting Story County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

For the latest stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 48 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...South Skunk River near Ames W Riverside Rd, or from Keigley
  Branch near 170th Street to Ioway Creek.

* WHEN...Until Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 10.6 feet, Water is out of its banks at River Valley
  Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain near minor flood stage
    through Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
